FAQS

HOW DO KNOW IF MY CARRIER IS SUITABLE?

It is preferred if you have a suitable baby carrier for class, but you do not need to own one as a limited number of free hire carriers are available on request (deposit required). I would be more than happy to do a contactless drop off of a carrier at your door for loan whilst our classes are being run online. We can even do a video chat to help you get the best fit before class. Don't worry as I will talk you through everything. Babywearing safety is most important during Kanga.  Due to the level of movement & physical activity, there are particular babywearing requirements we must adhere to, to ensure the safety of both mums & bubs. Alternatively you can still do the class without wearing your baby if you perfer. Have older kids? You can still do the class with us without having to wear your toddler or older child. It is still a great workout! :)

All carriers must meet T.I.C.K.S guidelines for safe babywearing, & must support baby from hip to knee.  Babies MUST be worn facing you in the carrier, placed either on your front or on your back.

Tandem carrying - whilst amazing! - is unfortunately not safe during Kangatraining.  If you have twins, a few different options are available to you, please contact me for details.

Several different types of carriers are suitable for Kanga, including Manduca, Ergo, Boba, Tula, Kinderpak & Mei Tai.

Carriers such as ring slings, stretchy wraps (eg; hug-a-bub), carriers with little head support (e.g. mothers choice, baby Bjorn), narrow based carriers (eg; Baby Bjorn/Safe n Sound) & outward facing carriers are unfortunately not suitable for Kanga & may not be worn during class. But don't worry! I have a limited number of carriers available for you to use. Every carrier is machine washed after each lesson.
