Kangatraining is a fitness program for Mums and Bubs which operates in over 30 countries and has been voted Australia’s favourite post natal workout multiple years running!
Kangatraining means a total body workout while your baby can relax and enjoy being close to you. Our classes are suitable for all fitness levels. Our area runs from Burns Beach to Banksia Grove and all the way up to Two Rocks! If you are not in this area we have lots of other Kangatrainers across Perth.

We are running our classes at Impact Dance Factory in Merriwa on Thursdays 9am. Plus we are also running an outdoor Kangamix class at Jindalee Beach 8am Saturday mornings which you can do with your baby in a carrier or pram.

WHAT IS KANGATRAINING?
Kangatraining is a dance based choreographed workout that is perfect for mothers to socialise, exercise without the need to find a babysitter and enjoy all the health benefits without going to the gym! There is no need to be coordinated and I will be the first to admit that I have 2 left feet!! And although it is low impact I promise you will sweat!!
As a qualified post natal trainer I will take you through a specifically designed program that focuses on re-strengthening your pelvic floor and abdominal muscles, as well as the correct posture while carrying your baby.
Please note that due to safety reasons you must have an approved suitable carrier. Check our registration page to confirm if yours is suitable. We have a small number of loan carrriers available however these will be subject to availability. Please send me an enquiry to see if one is available for you. If you like you can also do the class without wearing your baby or toddler. It's still a great workout!

WHAT IS KANGAMIX?
So how is Kangamix different to a normal Kangatraining class?
We mix it up a little with our class being outside and on the move! We get our heartrate up by walking to different locations and at each stop we do some exercises to music including squats, arms, a barre track, repeaters and pelvic floor work.
You choose to do the class with your baby either in a carrier or pushing them in a pram. We just need to make sure for safety reasons that if you have more than one child with you that they remain in a pram or carrier throughout the entire class.

Kangamix is a great option to mix up when attending a regular Kangatraining class on another day too!
WHAT IS KANGATRAIL?
Kangatrail has the same concept as Kanga on Wheel however you do the class with your baby in the carrier.
We get to explore a little more without the prams so will do some exercises right on the beach (oh bliss!)

FAQS
When can I commence classes?
You can begin Kangatraining once you have been given the “all clear” from your health professional to start exercising. This is from 6 weeks postpartum or 12 weeks following a Caesarean section. I will ask you to complete a health questionnaire to highlight any concerns so that I can modify the exercises in the workout for you.
Is there an age limit for babies?
There is no age limit as long as you can wear your baby comfortably and safely or push them in a pram for outdoor classes.
Is my baby carrier suitable and what if I don’t have one?
You are welcome to send us an enquiry so I can assess your carriers suitability for class. I will also assist you in getting the best fit and comfort for you and your baby (which we can do via video while our online classes are running).
We have a small number of carriers for hire, however these will be subject to availablity and mums who sign up for a term pass will have priority. Check our registration page for more information on what carriers are suitable.
